More About Me
Hi, my name is Abby Goodmon. I am a freshman at Shawnee Mission East High School. I am an honors student pursuing an international baccalaureate diploma. My dream is to become an aerospace engineer when I grow up. I am a Civil Air Patrol Cadet and I hope to get my pilot's license before I graduate high school. I play the saxophone in our high school marching band and work at a locally-owned frozen custard and coffee cafe that's awesome!
My mom enrolled me in Space 101 when I was going into 7th grade. When I attended this camp it sparked an interest that would soon become what I want my future career to be. I established this scholarship so girls who really show an interest in the STEM field could have this experience even if their family doesn't have the funds to send them.
I have attended the Space 101, 201, and 301 summer camps at the Cosmosphere and have had such an amazing time. I have made so many friends and we still try and get into the same session every year so we can experience a new week of space camp together.
